Modern with grand style

Michael Smith is well known for his very traditional style.  I was surprised to see in Wall St Journal Magazine this weekend the marvelous work he did with his new home.  A complete departure from his classic style, this home with modern architecture is filled with transitional and classic furniture with a few modern pieces in a more spare but with still a warm ambiance. This is a stunner!

Wow! Impressed! I really love how every room is different, yet somehow they maintain a cohesive style!

I absolutely adore traditional style. It's the basis of my decorating style. But I find, as I get older, that I'm embracing modern more and more often. Incorporating modern elements in a traditional home (or traditional elements in a modern home) bring out the best in both. Michael Smith's new home is stunning!

Inspiring home decor images, really got impressed by your collection. The best thing is that the rooms are airy and provides the opportunity to use maximum of day light.
